The Audio Publishers Association (APA) have announced finalists for the 2022 Audie Awards. Finalists include Cynthia Erivo for Best Female Narrator and Lin-Manuel Miranda for Best Male Narrator. MONTANA Starring Jennifer Mudge to Premiere at the 21st Annual Brooklyn Film Festival
Montana, the short film from Writer/Director Michael Schwartz (Sunday In The Park With George, Company) will make its World Premiere at The 21st Annual Brooklyn Film Festival Saturday June 9th at Windmill Studios in Brooklyn. The film then competes on June 26th in the Digital Short Series Competition at SeriesFest in Denver, the “Sundance Of Television.” The short film is based on Schwartz's hour-long Sundance Lab finalist pilot of the same name.
Mosaic's Third Season Concludes With Epic World Premiere Starring Hadi Tabbal
The final production of Mosaic Theater Company of DC's third season will be the world premiere staging of The Vagrant Trilogy, written by Mona Mansour and directed by Mark Wing-Davey. The Vagrant Trilogy is comprised of three different one-act plays: The Hour of Feeling, The Vagrant, and Urge for Going. These three plays, combined for the first time in one epic performance, follows Palestinian scholar Adham and his family over multiple generations and in multiple continents.
Sundance Institute and Time Warner Foundation Select 11 Artist Fellows for Grants
Eleven diverse independent artists have been selected to receive support from the 2017 Sundance Institute | Time Warner Foundation Fellowship. These Fellowships and accompanying grants are part of the non-profit Institute's year-round efforts to discover and support independent artists from diverse backgrounds in getting their work made and seen by a wide audience.

Theatre Lab DRAMATHON Comes to Washington Stage Guild 6/12
The Dramathon, DC's one-of-a-kind theatrical event presented by The Theatre Lab School of the Dramatic Arts, returns for its seventh year in June. Some of the most recognizable names in DC theatre come together for a great cause on June 12 at 7:30 pm at Washington Stage Guild. Actors and playwrights donate their time along along with volunteer fundraisers for world premiere staged readings of short plays written just for that night. All proceeds generated by the event benefit The Theatre Lab's scholarship fund.

Theater J's 2017 Annual Benefit celebrates the artistry of Rick Foucheux and honors the leadership of Mita M. Schaffer. This party to benefit the nation's most distinctive and progressive Jewish theater treats supporters to an elegant and entertaining evening. The Annual Benefit will take place on Monday, March 6, 2017 at 6:30 PM at the Washington Hebrew Congregation and will include a cocktail hour, followed by dinner (sponsored by Provisions Catering), live performances and dessert.
