During a recent “family meeting” of BDT Stage employees over Zoom, Artistic Producer Michael J. Duran raised a glass and exuberantly declared the theatre would reopen April 2, 2021, “Intermission is over! It is time for everyone to please return to your seats.”

BDT Stage will be observing the 20 year anniversary of the savage murder of Matthew Shepard with a staged reading of THE LARAMIE PROJECT. With help from the immense talents of John Ashton, Sam Gregory, Wayne Kennedy, Michael J. Duran, Greg Moody, Chris Parente, Sue Leiser, Alicia King Meyers, Nick Sugar, Tim Howard, Eden Lane (and more TBA) local actors are using the platform they know best to acknowledge and encourage the work being done to eradicate hate.

Ariel and Friends Splash into Boulder this Summer in Disney THE LITTLE MERMAID
Dive "Under the Sea" for a swimmingly good time as one of Disney's favorite princesses splashes to life in this Broadway musical adaptation. Ariel is a bold, young mermaid princess fascinated with the human world, in spite of the warnings of her father, King Triton. When she makes a dangerous deal with Ursula, the Sea Witch, she begins a race against the setting sun to find true love. Based on one of Hans Christian Andersen's most beloved stories, and Disney's movie of the same name, Disney's The Little Mermaid features classic songs by eight-time Academy Award winner Alan Menken such as "Under the Sea," "Kiss the Girl," "Part of Your World" and more! It's been 40 years since BDT Stage (then Boulder's Dinner Theatre) opened its doors. The curtain rose that night and Joseph graced the boards in his amazing Technicolor dreamcoat. A lot has changed in the last four decades, but 10,000+ performances later, BDT Stage is bringing back the show that started it all. Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat begins preview performances May 13, playing all summer long, through August 19, 2017.

A musical theatre tradition is coming to Boulder for the holiday season. Winner of 9 Tony Awards when it debuted in 1964, Fiddler on the Roof is a journey of love, loss, faith and family -- a celebration of life and all its challenges. From the rich orchestrations and beautiful score to the powerful production numbers and emotionally-charged story, this timeless show is one everyone should experience. Fiddler on the Roof opens at BDT Stage on November 14, 2014, and plays during the winter holiday season through February 28, 2015.

The Colorado Theatre Guild's 8th Annual Henry Awards will take place Monday, July 22, 2013, at the Arvada Center for the Arts and Humanities, 6901 Wadsworth Blvd in Arvada, Colorado. The evening begins at 6 p.m. with cocktails and a silent auction. The awards ceremony will begin at 7 p.m., followed by an after-party.
