Michael Goodman To Celebrate His 60th Birthday With A CHER-ABRATION In Support Of Local Nonprofits At Lips Fort Lauderdale

FLITE Center, Heart Gallery of Broward, History Fort Lauderdale, Island City Stage and South Florida Symphony Orchestra will be the beneficiaries of a special 60th birthday Cher-abration for Michael Goodman, owner and founder of GPR | Goodman Public Relations. The Cher-abration at Lips Fort Lauderdale on Thursday, October 19, at 7 p.m., will feature performances by Michael Dean as Cher with special guests and the cast of Lips.

The 17th Annual Tribeca Film Festival Announces Short Film Lineup With Narrative, Documentary, & Animated Shorts

The 17th annual Tribeca Film Festival, presented by AT&T, today announced its lineup of 55 diverse and engaging short films in competition, including 29 world premieres. The selected shorts include a cross-section of international and U.S. filmmakers and were curated from a record 4,754 submissions. For the second year running, 40% of the selections are directed by female filmmakers. The short films will be presented in 10 distinct competition programs, which consist of five narrative, three documentary, one animation, and one hybrid program. The program will also include special screenings and the 12th annual Tribeca/ESPN Sports Film Festival, sponsored by Mohegan Sun. The Shorts Film program, sponsored by Nutella®, runs throughout the Festival, April 18-29.

Theatre at the Center, 1040 Ridge Road, Munster, Indiana, ignites their 2014 season of Premieres with RING OF FIRE- THE MUSIC OF JOHNNY CASH. The production opened last night, Sunday, February 23. More than 35 of Cash's hit songs including 'I Walk the Line', 'A Boy Named Sue,' 'Folsom Prison Blues' and the title tune, paint a musical portrait of The Man in Black that promises to be a foot-stompin', crowd-pleasin' salute to the uniquely American Legend. Leading the cast as 'Johnny Cash' will be Kent Lewis with Jeff Award-winner Cory Goodrich starring as 'June Carter' and Michael Goodman as 'Young Johnny'. Four talented multi-instrumentalist/performers round out the cast - Greg Hirte, Malcolm Ruhl, Billy Shaffer, and William Underwood.
