Pennsylvania Representatives Join Growing Support For Save Our Stages Act

Since the Save Our Stages Act was introduced in July, bipartisan Congressional support has continued to grow - even through the August Recess. Representatives Brendan Boyle, Matt Cartwright, Michael Doyle, Dwight Evans, Brian Fitzpatrick, Connor Lamb and Susan Wild are among the 147 U.S. Senators and Representatives who have signed on as co-sponsors of the legislation to date, which is aimed at providing relief to independent live venues, promoters and festivals across the nation have been shuttered with no revenue and high overhead since March with no timeline for reopening.

Streisand's set started out with 'Everything' from her 1970 film A STAR IS BORN, 'Being at War With Each other' by Carole King, 'Losing My Mind' by Stephen Sondheim from her new ENCORE album and 'Pure Imagination' addressing the environment (also from ENCORE). Then the place went wild when she performed Stephen Sondheim's 'Send in the Clowns' with re-written lyrics skewering Republican Presidential candidate Donald Trump. The audience went wild and Barbra received 9 standing ovations!

The Public Theater officially opened the Mobile Shakespeare Unit's THE COMEDY OF ERRORS on Thursday, November 5. Directed by Kwame Kwei-Armah, the sit-down run of THE COMEDY OF ERRORS follows a three-week tour to the five boroughs, bringing free Shakespeare to audiences who have limited or no access to the arts. The Shakespeare comedy began previews at The Public Theater November 1 and will run through Sunday, November 22.
