Oh, what a night! The Broadway smash hit, chronicling the rise and eventual breakup of the legendary doo-wop group Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons, makes its Regional Premiere in the Bluff City! Featuring chart-toppers like “Sherry,” “Beggin,” “Big Girls Don’t Cry,” and “Walk Like a Man.” Jersey Boys is an exciting walk down memory lane of the Golden Era of American Music.
Circuit Playhouse Professional Regional Theatre Company to Discontinue Internship Program
Circuit Playhouse, Inc. (CPI), a professional non profit theatre company in Memphis, TN overseeing Playhouse on the Square (66 South Cooper Street), The Circuit Playhouse (51 South Cooper Street), and TheatreWorks@TheSquare (2085 Monroe) has announced the organization will end their decades old internship program, known as Playhouse on the Square Associate Company, the summer of 2023.

Playhouse On The Square Partners With Bridge Builders CHANGE
Circuit Playhouse, Inc. has partnered with The Gender and Sexuality (GAS) cohort of Bridge Builders CHANGE to classify the organization's theaters, classrooms, living quarters, and administration buildings as Brave, Safe, and Educated (BSE) spaces for the LGTBQIA+ community of Memphis and the Mid-South.
Playhouse On The Square Suspends Its 52nd Season
Due to the current rise in COVID-19 cases in and around Shelby County, Playhouse on the Square has made the difficult decision to suspend all scheduled in-person stage productions until June of 2021. This includes the 52nd season line up of performances on the stages of Playhouse on the Square, The Circuit Playhouse, and TheatreWorks at the Square.
Playhouse On The Square Cancels Shows To January 2021 Amid COVID-19 Spike
Playhouse on the Square Executive Producer, Michael Detroit made the difficult decision to cancel staged productions in its theatres through the rest of 2020. Citing the recent rise in Coronavirus cases in and around Shelby County, Detroit along with the theatre's executive leadership, feels that for the safety of its staff, artists, designers, and patrons that cancelling performances is in everyone's best interest.
