The evening celebrated inclusion through the art of storytelling in their continued effort to raise awareness of the abilities of people with disabilities around the world.
Ford Foundation Gifts $50,000 To National Disability Theatre

National Disability Theatre has received a $50,000 grant from the Ford Foundation. These funds will support the National Disability Theatre's mission of employing professional theatre artists who create fully accessible, world-class theatre and storytelling; change social policy and the nation's narrative about disability culture; and provide a guiding model in accessibility for the arts and cultural sector.

On Sunday, March 11, United Cerebral Palsy of Los Angeles, Ventura and Santa Barbara Counties (UCPLA) will host its fourth annual Art of Care gala, which will recognize Speechless star Micah Fowler with the organization's coveted Trailblazer Award. Given to individuals who use their influence to raise awareness about developmental disabilities, the Trailblazer Award has previously been presented to Zach Anner, a comedian and author who is a consultant for Speechless and has played a small role in an episode, musician Brandon Mendenhall, and Nike Innovator Tobie Hatfield and advocate Matthew Walzer.
