German Cornego's TANGO AFTER DARK Will Play London Season at the Peacock Theatre

World Tango Champion German Cornejo returns with his superb dance company, including his long-term dance partner and collaborator Gisela Galeassi, to perform the critically acclaimed Tango After Dark at Peacock Theatre in London's West End from 11 to 22 October, with a national press night on Tuesday 11 October.

The foundation of ARRABAL builds upon Argentina's tumultuous past of decaying democracy and state-sponsored terrorism while focusing on a single family affected by this conflict. The family here is a captured guerrilla fighter-slash-father, a mourning Abuela, and daughter Arrabal on a quest for closure. Despite sounding overstuffed, the title character's undeveloped journey combined with a vague use of dense themes leads to a performance piece begging to be more.

The American Repertory Theater (A.R.T.) at Harvard University under the leadership of Artistic Director Diane Paulus and Executive Director Diane Quinn, will present Arrabal, with a book written by John Weidman, music by Gustavo Santaolalla / Bajofondo, choreographed by Julio Zurita, and directed and co-choreographed by Sergio Trujillo.

Ferocious, passionate and resolutely de ant, Rascasuelos will command Carnegie Hall's Perelman Stage when the Buenos Aires-based band of 11 visionary tango dancers and musicians makes its New York debut in the Stern Auditorium, November 2 at 8pm.
