Mia is a singer, classical vocalist and actress. She is a 2024 CAPA Marquee Best Actress Finalist, CS Music All-State Certified Singer and The Songbook Academy Finalist. She has performed on stage in numerous school and community productions. Some of her favorite shows include Mean Girls High School Version (Regina George), Fiddler on the Roof (Golde, Chava), Rent School Edition (Mimi Marquez) and Mary Poppins Jr. (Mary Poppins). From hundreds of applicants nationwide, 40 high school students from 14 states have been selected to participate in this year’s Songbook Academy®, aweeklong summer intensive that immerses young performers in America’s musical heritage and helps them develop as artists under the guidance of Broadway stars and other entertainment professionals and music educators.

Set in the little village of Anatevka, the story centers on Tevye, a poor milkman, and his five daughters. With the help of a colorful and tight-knit Jewish community, Tevye tries to protect his daughters and instill them with traditional values in the face of changing social mores and the growing anti-Semitism of Czarist Russia. Rich in historical and ethnic detail, Fiddler on the Roof‘s universal theme of tradition cuts across barriers of race, class, nationality and religion, leaving audiences crying tears of laughter, joy and sadness. Based on Sholem Aleichem stories by special permission of Arnold Perl. Performances run Dec. 2 - 17, 2023, at Gallery Players, 1125 College Ave., Columbus, Ohio 43209.
