BIO

Melvin is thrilled to be back performing in New York. He has appeared in several Layon Gray plays such as Searching For Willie Lynch, Kings Of Harlem and Black Angels Over Tuskegee. A few film and tv credits include: Law and Order SVU, Law and Order CI, Royal Pains, and Carl Webber's The Family Business. He thanks his wife and son for being his biggest fans.

THE HARLEM RENS Begins Tonight at the Actors Temple Theater

From the people that brought you Layon Gray's acclaimed play, Black Angels Over Tuskegee, now in its 5th year Off-Broadway, comes THE HARLEM RENS, the true story of the greatest Basketball team you've never heard of: Harlem Renaissance Big Five. Performances will begin tonight, September 18th at the Actors Temple Theater (339 West 47th Street, between 8th and 9th Avenues), with Opening Night set for October 2nd. This is limited Off-Broadway engagement continues thought November 23rd.
