Opening Act, which for more than a decade has provided free after-school theater programming to New York City's most underserved public high schools, announced today that Jasmine Cephas Jones (Hamilton), Zazie Beetz (Atlanta), and Tom Pelphrey (Iron Fist), have joined the cast of Opening Act's 11th Annual Benefit Play Reading at New World Stages on April 25th, 2017.

Medea Gets 21st Century Adaptation with a Twist in Struan In Struan, Scottish playwright JD Stewart gives the classic Greek tragedy, Medea, a bold and battering 21st modernization…with men. Struan's husband, Jason, has left him for a new bride, Sophia. Rather than fall foul to heartbreak, Struan exacts a plan of revenge on his ex-husband, their shared two children, and the new bride in the form of murder. Struan's Nanny and Publicist play integral roles in a love triangle while also acting as a traditional Greek chorus.

Signature Theatre has announced a third and final one week extension for the World Premiere of Horton Foote's THEOLD FRIENDS, directed by Michael Wilson. The production will now play its final performance on Sunday, October 20. THE OLD FRIENDS opened to critical acclaim on September 12 in The Irene Diamond Stage at The Pershing Square Signature Center (480 West 42nd Street between 9th and 10th Avenues). Tickets during the extension weeks are $75 each.
