Dorian 'D-Strong' Murray Shares LEAVING A MARK
SILVERTON, Ore., April 1, 2016 /PRNewswire/ Dorian 'D-Strong' Murray, the 8-year-old diagnosed with alveolar rhabdomyosarcoma, a rare form of pediatric cancer, dreamt of being famous, then achieved it through the power of the internet. Though Dorian succumbed to the illness earlier this month, efforts not only to continue his legacy but also to provide support for other families takes its first step today with the release of Leaving a Mark, a children's book co-authored by Murray and Nicole DeRosa Cannella and released through Lampion Press.

Two Ducks Theatre Company, a new theatre company on Philadelphia's Main Line, will present its first production: Rainbowtown, a hilarious new play for kids. Rainbowtown runs today, Sept. 6-20 at the Radnor United Methodist Church in Bryn Mawr, part of FringeArts' 2014 festival.

For the month of September, A.I.R. Gallery artists will show new work and create a series of site-specific installations to transform one of the 19th-century houses at Nolan Park on Governors Island. Re-enlivening its abandoned interiors, If These Walls... includes paintings, sculptures, photographs, works on paper, and site-specific installations. Inspired by the location in Nolan Park on Governors Island, the artists have envisioned works that hold conversations with the site and history of the house. If These Walls... will open today, August 29, 2014. Visiting hours are Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays through September, from 11am to 5pm. The exhibition will also be open on Labor Day.

2014 MAC (Manhattan Association of Cabaret Artists) Award winner Rev. Yolanda appeared at Outright Vermont's 25th Anniversary Silver Celebration on April 11th in Williston, Vermont. New York audiences recognize Yolanda from her cabaret show, REV. YOLANDA'S OLD TIME GOSPEL HOUR, while Vermonters may know her from the public access television show she co-hosted with Cherie Tartt from the mid-'90s through 2001, or from her band, Yolanda & the Plastic Family.

Allegation (Third Rail), artist Michael Tharp's 15-projector tour de force, makes its timely and controversial debut in Liminal Reclamations-a group exhibition curated by Amy Kisch of AKArt Advisory and Tracy Causey-Jeffery of Causey Contemporary-at the aptly-themed PublicPrivate SPRING/BREAK Art Show curator-driven art fair. Paired with a child's model train set, the video installation features Woody Allen's 15 Oscar-nominated films running simultaneously (inverted with sound) on the walls of the 3rd-floor coat closet of the schoolhouse known as Old School in SoHo.
