Gillian Murphy To Give Farewell Performance With American Ballet Theatre In July

Gillian Murphy, a Principal Dancer with American Ballet Theatre since 2002 and the Company's longest-standing current dancer, will take her final bow in the iconic role of Odette/Odile in Swan Lake on Friday, July 18, 2025, at the Metropolitan Opera House.

American Repertory Ballet will welcome iconic ballerina Gillian Murphy to be the organization’s first-ever Artistic Associate, effective immediately. BETSY McBRIDE, SIMON WEXLER, PAOLA HARTLEY, and KAREN SCALZITTI-KENNEDY will be members of the guest faculty for the Shreveport Dance Academy's Summer Intensive in Shreveport, Louisiana. Ms. McBride and Mr. Wexler will be teaching from July 27-31, 2020, and Ms.  Hartley and Ms. Scalzitti-Kennedy will be teaching from August 3-7, 2020.
