Tickets for Opera Carolina's 2022/23 season are now on sale to the public. This season will explore iconic women in opera and focus on the power of opera by emphasizing HERstory. The season will open in October with Puccini's Tosca, continued in January 2023 with Porgy & Bess, and will conclude in April with Verdi's La traviata. All performances will be held at the Belk Theater.

North Carolina Opera Announces 2019-20 Season

North Carolina Opera has announced the company's 2019-20 season, which includes fully-staged productions of Mozart's The Magic Flute (Apr. 3 & 5, 2020) and Leoncavallo's Pagliacci (Jan. 24 & 26, 2020), a concert performance of Act III from Wagner's Siegfried (Nov. 10, 2019), and a vocal recital by superstar tenor Lawrence Brownlee (Feb. 18, 2020). The announcement was made by the company's General Director Eric Mitchko at the 2019-20 Season Reveal, which was held on Tuesday, March 26 at CAM Raleigh and graciously sponsored by the Meredith College Department of Music, CITRIX, Mitchell's, Queen of Wines, Savills, Glenwood Agency Real Estate, and Hibernian Pub.

First Place Winner Meghan Kasanders, 26, led the field of nine finalists at Pittsburgh Festival Opera's 7th Annual Mildred Miller International Voice Competition with her performances of Dich, teure Halle from Wagner's Tannh user and 'Come scoglio' from Mozart's Cosi fan tutte on Sunday, Oct. 22 at The Frick Art & Historical Center, Pittsburgh. Utah Opera presents Final 'Don Giovanni'-Inspired Craft Cocktail

Utah Opera and Salt Lake magazine partner for the 3rd annual Libretti & Libations, where art influences life - for at least a drink (or two). Talented mixologists from choice Salt Lake City and Park City restaurants curate artisanal cocktails inspired by the season's opera productions. Until May 21, 2017, eight participating restaurants will offer expertly-crafted libations inspired by Utah Opera's production of "Don Giovanni" as a way of infusing food and beverage with the experience of opera. Utah Opera Closes 2016-17 Season with Mozart's DON GIOVANNI

In May 2017, Utah Opera will present Mozart's “Don Giovanni,” a tale of love, seduction, and murder as seen through the stylized lens of a 1950s “film noir” cinematic approach. This production will be performed five times at the Janet Quinney Lawson Capitol Theatre on May 13, 15, 17, 19 at 7:30 PM and May 21 at 2 PM. AZ Opera's Rusalka Presents Magical Version of LITTLE MERMAID

Dark forests, woodland sprites and an evil witch, 'Jezibaba' come to the Arizona Opera stage as the company presents its first ever production of Dvo?ak's Rusalka. The story follows the classic Hans Christian Andersen fairytale 'Little Mermaid' with dramatic flair as the mermaid Rusalka seeks to be part of the human world. This new production will be set in the Habsburg Empire of the 1800s and features the show-stopping aria, 'Song to the Moon'. Rusalka is sung in Czech with English supertitles.

Young Patronesses of the Opera (YPO), in conjunction with Florida Grand Opera (FGO), has announced the 27th annual YPO Voice Competition. This year, the Finals Concert will be held for the first time at the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts of Miami-Dade County. Offering a program of popular and significant arias as sung by today's brightest young talents, the concert takes place on April 27, 2013, at 1:00 p.m. with tickets available to the public for as low as $10.
