Sondheim's COMPANY Comes To The Croswell This Weekend
When the musical COMPANY debuted in 1970, it was one of the first Broadway musicals to dig into the topics of dating, marriage and divorce. Essentially a series of short stories about the lives of five couples, seen through the eyes of their perpetually single friend as turns 35, the show was nominated for 14 Tony Awards and has enjoyed three Broadway revivals.
TheatreWorks Unveils New Works Fest Line-Up
Lovers of new theatre will gather this August for an advance look at tomorrow's hits at TheatreWorks Silicon Valley's 2018 New Works Festival at Palo Alto's Lucie Stern Theatre. This unique festival offers audiences an extraordinary opportunity to experience new plays and musicals in their early stages of development, and hear about the creative process in a "Meet the Artists" panel discussion. With multiple performances of each work, playwrights and composers are able to rewrite scenes, add or delete songs, revise and refine, allowing audiences to return and watch the exciting evolution of brand new pieces of American theatre.
Main Street Youth Theater Announces Their Upcoming Season

Fasten your seatbelts for this high-speed romp through Shakespeare's classic farce of shipwrecked separations and mistaken identity! Fourteen Houston-area children ages 12 - high school, currently the students of Main Street Theater's Rehearsal and Performance By Audition class, present Commedia of Errors, adapted by Jonathan Gonzalez from Shakespeare's Comedy of Errors.
