A California native, Meggy’s lived everywhere from Little Saigon, to San Francisco, New York City, and now Cincinnati. Meggy started acting professionally in theater at the age of eight, as the only child company member in the nationally touring theater troupe, Funky Fresh Pan-Ethnic Asian Girls. Meggy graduated from Wells College/Cornell University with a BA in Playwriting, is an alumna from the UCSD Playhouse Conservatory and ACT in San Francisco, CA, and is a recent graduate of the Full-Time Conservatory at Stella Adler Studio of Acting. Since graduating from Stella Adler in June 2012, Meggy starred as the lead role in the feature length independent film, Edible Souls (coming 2014) work-shopped The Office of Dead Letters with fellow Adler classmates and alumni, performed in her first Off-Broadway production, and was cast as a lead in a new pilot series that shot in early 2013. Meggy was one of eight Bruce E. Coyle Acting Interns with Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park for it's 2013-2014 season. As an intern, Meggy played a thirteen-year-old girl on the Autism Spectrum in Fake Flowers Don't Die, understudied the role of Belen in the World Premiere of Seven Spots on the Sun, appeared as and understudied multiple roles in A Christmas Carol, Pride and Prejudice, understudied the role of Amanda in 4,000 Miles, and worked with Puppets for the first time in the Playhouse's spring tour: The Short Tree and The Bird That Could Not Sing. Coming up next, Meggy will be playing Cordelia in the Secret Theatre's King Lear, starring Austin Pendleton, Elizabeth A. Davis, and Richard Mazda. Meggy is represented by Lynne Jebens of The Krasny Office.
