Broadway Sessions, the beloved long running musical theatre variety show returns to The Laurie Beechman Theatre LIVE in person this coming Thursday evening, June 2nd
BROADWAY SESSIONS is described as an evening of musical performances, games and open mic featuring a new Broadway cast twice monthly. The show is created and hosted by Ben Cameron (Bway Wicked, Aida, Footloose, Dance Captain Dance Attack web series, Broadway Con,) and features musical director Joshua Stephen Kartes on piano.
BWW Review: SEASONS THE MUSICAL Makes Triumphant Return to Orlando at Dr. Phillips Center
Late Spring. Early Summer. An Autumn Afternoon. Am I describing the time periods of 2014's Orlando Fringe darling SEASONS or the seminal works of film director Yasujirō Ozu? Ironically, I had watched Ozu's Late Spring a few days before heading out to Dr. Phillips Center to attend the opening performance of SEASONS. As a result, Ozu's post-war film about parenthood and reluctant marriage was on my mind for much of the show, drawing parallels I had not expected, but certainly welcomed.

Imagine looking out onto the stage where John Wilkes Booth brandishes a pistol at the audience only a few feet away while the balladeer (Patrick Beasley) sings, 'Some say it was your voice had gone, some say it was the booze. Some say you killed a country, John, because of bad reviews' in the song 'The Ballad of Booth.'
VTA Releases Names Of ONE SMALL VOICE Participants
Victoria Theatre Association announces the names of 22 female musicians selected to participate in ONE SMALL VOICE: WOMEN WHO ROCK. ONE SMALL VOICE strives to provide women singers and songwriters, ages 13 and up, with private coaching and recording opportunities that will ultimately give participants the confidence to follow their own music journey as solo artists.
THE MYSTERY OF EDWIN DROOD at Wright State University
Wright State University Theatre concludes its 43rd season in the Festival Playhouse with the Tony Award-winning musical: The Mystery of Edwin Drood, running from March 15th - April 8th. The Mystery of Edwin Drood is a musical inspired by the unfinished novel by Charles Dickens. Drood became a Broadway smash hit, winning Tony's for Best Musical, Best Book and Best Score - all by Rupert Holmes in a tour-de-force creation.
Tyler Hanes, Jill Paice, Gabrielle Ruiz & Colton Ryan to Headline LEXington Theatre Co's 'Concert With The Stars'
The Stars are set for The LEXington Theatre Company's Concert With The Stars 2018, presented by Variety Live at The Opera House, and sponsored by KentuckyOne Health. Tyler Hanes (Cats, On The Town, A Chorus Line, Hairspray), Jill Paice (An American in Paris, Matilda, The 39 Steps), Gabrielle Ruiz (If/Then, Evita, In The Heights, Television's Crazy Ex-Girlfriend), and Lexington's own Colton Ryan (Dear Evan Hansen) are to headline the company's signature concert and announce their 2018 Summer Season.

Broadway's original Elle Woods, Laura Bell Bundy, returned to her hometown of Lexington, Kentucky to co-direct The LEXington Theatre Company's production of Legally Blonde. Legally Blonde, the third mainstage production from The LEXington Theatre Company, opened last night, and features original choreography by Jerry Mitchell, recreated and adapted by Brooke Engen (Gypsy, Hairspray) and Tiffany Engen (Legally Blonde), as well as original Broadway cast members Kevin Pariseau and Chico the Chihuahua.
