Walkabout Theater Company and Links Hall, in association with the National Performance Network, is pleased to present the U.S. premiere of THE BRINK! or Nobody's Ever Kissed Me Like That… In a cafe at the edge of the world, on the brink of existence, the Walkabout ensemble is dying to sing and dance, to draw the curtain on our last-ditch desires, and to reveal the transformative beauty of our shadow selves. Fresh from its preview performance at the Cricoteka Centre in Krakow, Poland, THE BRINK! will run for three weekends only at Links Hall before traveling to India for the 8th International Theatre Olympics in Mumbai and New Delhi.  With its signature style, Chicago's premier laboratory ensemble presents an entirely new work that asks with ardor and brass, "What happens now… here on the brink?"

Commissioned text by Emma Stanton is fused with interwoven narratives of movement, music, group choreography and funerary rites that investigate the fatigue of hope in the face of profound grief. Directed by Co-Artistic Director Kendra Miller with movement by Co-Artistic Director Thom Pasculli, THE CURE will play June 1 - 18, 2016 at The Sidney R. Yates Gallery at the Chicago Cultural Center, 78 E. Washington St. in Chicago. All performances are free to the public. Advance reservations can be made at walkabouttheater.org/the-cure. Steppenwolf's GARAGE REP to Kick Off on Valentine's Day

Performances of Steppenwolf Theatre Company's fifth annual Garage Rep are scheduled to begin February 14, 2014, featuring The New Colony's world-premiere production of reWILDing Genius, Prologue Theatre Company's Chicago-premiere production of Saturday Night/Sunday Morning and Walkabout Theater Company's world-premiere production of The Wild. These innovative storefront companies perform in rotating repertory for ten weeks through April 20, 2013 (press performances are March 8 and 9, 2014). Performances are scheduled Wednesday through Sunday in the Garage Theater (1624 N Halsted St); a full performance schedule, including the line-up for Late Night @ Garage Rep, follows.
