Skylight Theatre Company to Begin Accepting PlayLab Submissions Tomorrow
The award-winning Skylight Theatre Company will be accepting applications for the 4th round of its well-regarded Skylight PlayLab, headed by renowned playwright and screenwriter Shem Bitterman. Interested playwrights from the Southern California area can apply from December 15, 2015 until January 31, 2016 for the upcoming 2016/17 Season.
Pan Asian Repertory Theatre Opens RANGOON, 5/25
Pan Asian Repertory Theatre, East Coast producer of Asian-American theatre, will continue its 35th milestone season with the world premiere of RANGOON by Mayank Keshaviah. Broadway veteran Raul Aranas (Miss Saigon), who directed Pan Asian's long-running Off-Broadway hit, Yellow Fever, returns as director. The production runs May 25th - June 17th at The Clurman Theatre at Theatre Row (410 W. 42nd Street between 9th and 10th Ave). Opening night isThursday, May 31st at 7:00PM.

The Los Angeles Drama Critics Circle has announced its nominations and special awards for excellence in Los Angeles, Orange County and Ventura County theatre for the year 2011. The 43rd Annual Los Angeles Drama Critics Circle Awards ceremony will take place on Monday, March 19, 2012 at A Noise Within, the acclaimed classical repertory theatre company, in its new 33,000 square-foot, state-of-the-art venue in Pasadena, thanks to the generous donation of A Noise Within's management. The theatre is located on the corner of Foothill Boulevard and Sierra Madre Villa Avenue at 3352 East Foothill Blvd., Pasadena, CA 91107. Tickets are $40, and should be reserved in advance from the LADCC's website, at www.ladramacriticscircle.com. The doors open at 6:30 p.m. for pre-show hors d'oeuvres (with no-host bar), and the show commences at 7:30 p.m.

Through the generous support of the NEA, the Institute will be conducted by USC Annenberg's School of Journalism in Los Angeles from May 17-27, 2010.
