SWAN LAKE ROCK OPERA Will Begin Performances At Actors Temple Theatre Next Month
A dazzling new version of Tchaikovsky's legendary music is once again preparing to make a splash upon the New York Stage - on Thursday, October 14. SWAN LAKE ROCK OPERA, a sexy extravaganza about money, love and titles, featuring book and lyrics by Mirit Shem-Ur, music by Pyotr llyich Tchaikovsky, with additional music by Sharona Pick, is a provocative mashup of classical and modern music, and was slated to run at St. Luke's in April of 2020, but was postponed as the Covid-19 pandemic brought there theater industry and New York to a sudden halt.

'Be careful what you wish for' is the ongoing theme in Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine's Into the Woods. The story follows The Baker and his wife who wish to have a child, Cinderella who wishes to go the King's Festival, Jack who wishes his cow would give some milk, and a familiar cast of many others! What begins a lively irreverent fantasy becomes a moving lesson about community responsibility and the stories we tell our children.

Last night, Monday August 21, the actress and singer Emily Ellet was mobbed by her many friends and admirers in the audience when it was announced that she had eeked out a photo-finish win in one of the most competitive MetroStar contests in years. Her outstanding mini-set, in which she delivered a dazzingly original interpretation of the '80s disco anthem 'It's Raining Men,' put her ahead of the other four MetroStar finalists, each of whom delivered nearly flawless performances. Next week's quarter finals of the 2017 "MetroStar Talent Challenge" features thirteen exciting talents vying to become the 10th MetroStar Talent Challenge winner. MetroStar's Top 13 is a baker's dozen of singers from a variety of backgrounds, including Broadway and cabaret, as well as a number of brand new talents, like 16-year-old Jackie Mate, who are hoping to make a big splash in their cabaret debuts.

Reagle Music Theatre of Greater Boston brings back this crowd-pleasing British musical comedy about a cockney gent who learns that he is the 14th heir to the Earl of Hareford, but must choose between love and money. Director/Choreographer Cynthia Thole appeared in the original Broadway revival of ME AND MY GIRL and transmits her familiarity with the show to an exuberant cast, led by engaging, talented Peabody native Joshua Holden.
ENRON Makes Regional Debut at Boston's Zeitgeist, 9/24
Since it opened in the West End in January 2010, ENRON has broken box office and attendance records at the venue. As well as winning several major awards, the production was driven by popular demand to extend its West End run, having already enjoyed sell-out runs at Chichester Festival Theatre and London's Royal Court Theatre. The Broadway production of ENRON was nominated for four Tony Awards before it closed this spring.
