Youth Theatre Holds National Competition to Raise Awareness and Funding During Coronavirus Shutdown

Strauss Youth Academy for the Arts is a 501(c)(3) non-profit youth theatre in Monroe, Louisiana. Their mission is to provide excellence in theatre arts education for students ages 5-18 in Northeast and North Central Louisiana while also providing high-quality live theatre entertainment suitable for all ages in our community.
TRAV'LIN - THE NEW 1930s HARLEM MUSICAL Opens Tonight in Fort Worth

Following development in New York City and Washington, D.C., including a sold-out run at the New York Musical Theatre Festival (NYMF), Trav'lin - The New 1930s Harlem Musical receives its Regional Premiere at Fort Worth's Jubilee Theatre, the original home of African-American theater in North Texas,beginning Friday, March 29, 2013. Opening Night is Friday, April 5, and the show runs through April 28, 2013.
Jubilee Theatre's African Company Presents RICHARD III, 3/25 - 4/23

The fourth production of Jubilee Theatre's 30th Anniversary Season, The African Company Presents Richard III by Carlyle Brown will preview March 25 and runs through April 23. Directed by Phyllis Cicero, The African Company Presents Richard III features Bob Allen, May Allen, Major Attaway, T.K. Bell, Chuck Jemerson, Martin Olsen and Rick Spivey. Set design is by George Miller and costumes are the work of Barbara O'Donoghue.

ONE MO’ TIME Ends Run at Jubilee Theatre, 4/25

Jubilee Theatre will conclude its production of One Mo' Time - An Evening at the Lyric 1926, a rousing musical with music that celebrates Black vaudeville of the 1920s on April 25th. Jubilee's production is directed by Tyrone King with musical direction by Joe Rogers. The original production of One Mo' Time played for over three years at the Village Gate Off-Broadway in 1979 before it was brought back to acclaim in the 2002 Broadway season.
