Maxwell Glasser is a Jewish American actor from Nashville, TN. He is currently a senior at the University of Mississippi: BFA for Acting on Stage & Screen. Max began performing in High School, where he played roles such as Harold Hill in The Music Man and Tevye in Fiddler on the Roof. In his freshman year of college, Max was in two main stage shows: Legally Blonde, where he played Kyle the UPS Guy, and Hazel where he played Dave. Over the summer of 2022, Max received his first professional contract for The Lost Colony’s 85th Season (dir. Jeff Whiting). Max played the role of the Sentinel and was also a part of the Ensemble along with being the Stage Combat Swing. In his sophomore year at The University of Mississippi, Max played the role of Jack in their fall production of Into the Woods and played the role of Seymour Krelborn in the University's spring production of Little Shop of Horrors (dir. John Carden). In the summer of 2023, Max returned to The Lost Colony (dir. Jeff Whiting) in their 86th season in the role of Amadas and understudying the role of Ralph Lane. Max also served as one of the combat swings and the male vocal captain for the production. Additionally, over the summer, Max tried his hand at directing and directed the hit StarKid musical The Trail to Oregon as a Professional Theatre Workshop at The Lost Colony. In his Junior year, Max performaned in The Liar where he played Cliton, and The Prom where he was in the Ensemble along with understudying Trent Oliver. During the summer of 2024, Max made his NYC Debut in the Repbook Roulette Cabaret at Greenroom 42! Later in the summer, he was hired as a replacement at The Lost Colony where he briefly reprised his role as Amadas and The Sentinel for the remainder of the 87th season.
Currently a senior, Maxwell played Prince Topher in the University's fall production of Cinderella. In the spring, he will be playing Ricky Potts in Ole Miss' performance of Ride the Cyclone. This will be his final performance at the University of Mississippi.
Max has been certified with recommendation by the SAFD in both Unarmed Combat and Single Sword Combat.
