NY PopsUp will present An Evening of 100 Boyfriends, curated by Whiting Award-winning author, Brontez Purnell. The one-time-only event, featuring readings from Purnell’s critically-acclaimed book, 100 Boyfriends, will be held at MoMA PS1 on Friday, July 30 from 5:30 – 8:00pm ET.

Sarnoff.
John Waters, Rita Mae Brown to Be Honored at the 27th Annual Lambda Literary Awards
Lambda Literary is pleased to announce that John Waters will receive Lambda's Trustee Award for Excellence in Literature an Rita Mae Brown will receive the Pioneer Award at the 27th Annual Lambda Literary Awards ('Lammys'). Waters and Brown will be honored along with the winning authors of 24 separate LGBT literary categories as determined by over 90 judges. The Lammys bring together over 450 attendees, sponsors and celebrities to celebrate excellence in LGBT literature, making it the most glamorous and prestigious LGBT literary event in the world. The awards will be hosted for the fourth year in a row by comedienne Kate Clinton on Monday, June 1st in New York City at The Great Hall at Cooper Union (7 East 7th St @ 3rd Ave, New York City) with a pre-ceremony reception presented by Penguin Random House. A VIP After-Party presented by Scholastic will immediately follow the ceremony.
Spoon Productions' Revival of Nicky Silver's THE FOOD CHAIN Continues thru 3/7 at The Treehouse Theater
Spoon Productions, NYC is pleased to announce its first full-length production of The Food Chain by Nicky Silver. The play, which had an acclaimed run in 1995 Off-Broadway and at the Woolly Mammoth Theater in Washington, D.C., will be mounted at The Treehouse Theater (154 W. 29th St., 2nd Floor) for eight weekend performances: Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30 PM, February 13th -March 7th. The performance will run approximately 90 minutes with no intermission.

Two years into its second half-century, La MaMa, under the artistic direction of Mia Yoo, continues the omnivorous work of its founder, the late Ellen Stewart. The institution's fall 2013 season is a mixture of established artists and forms La MaMa has long supported (Lee Breuer, Dario D'Ambrosi, puppetry) and celebrated artists and programs new to La MaMa (Irina Brook, Chiori Miyagawa and Alice Reagan, Pascal Rambert, Maureen Fleming, Dan Fishback and Max Steele, and many others).
