El 4 de julio se celebra el día de la independencia de Estados Unidos. No parece que haya una fecha más apropiada para que CHICAGO inicie su gira por España en el Palau de Les Arts de València, ya que cuando Maurine Dallas Watkins escribió la obra original en la que se basa el musical hace casi cien años, pretendía hacer una crítica mordaz y ácida de la idiosincrasia de su país. Lo que la periodista consiguió, quizá sin pretenderlo, es conseguir que personas de todo el mundo vieran reflejada en su texto una realidad que les tocaba muy de cerca.
