Maura M Knowles

Maura Megan Knowles is a versatile actor-singer-writer-producer whose
projects include the development of her original musical comedy t.v.
series "Insult to Injury," inspired by her own life and death experiences,
turning to her Irish-American comedy roots.

Credits include; Francis Ford Coppola's “Gidget"; the
award-winning rock musical "Bare" (directed by Tony nominee Kristin
Hanggi) along with a reunion concert at Feinstein's/54 Below; Crazy Ex-
Girlfriend, E.R., Medium, Law & Order, Stitcher’s, Special Victim’s Unit, The
Bold & The Beautiful, The Mark Taper Forum. She received a Broadway World
"Best Supporting Actress" nomination for “That Long Damn Dark,” wrote and
performed her one-woman cabaret show "Life's Little Ironies" which served
as a fundraiser for the Los Angeles Chapter of the American Diabetes
Association.

In addition to being a member of the Irish-American Writers & Artists in New
York, the Los Angeles Writer's Center, and one of twelve songwriters
accepted into the Mercer Great American Songwriting Program at
Northwestern University in Chicago, Maura's writings have been featured at
playwrights festivals and published in various magazines and blogs (e.g., The
Morselist). As a singer, she has recorded songs for numerous labels.
