RTC Announces Casting For THE BRIDGES OF MADISON COUNTY

The Bridges of Madison County opens May 31 and runs through June 3 at the Dows Theatre, Coe College Cedar Rapids, IA. Revival Theatre Company (RTC) presents The Bridges of Madison County a musical, based on Robert James Waller's 1992 novel and written/scored by the Pulitzer and Tony Award winning creative team of Marsha Norman and Jason Robert Brown.

Revival Theatre Company in Cedar Rapids, IA. has released images of their upcoming production of Ragtime. A cast of 80 with a full orchestra, Ragtime will be presented in a concert format with full staging, costumes and large choir.
Cast Announced for RAGTIME

Revival Theatre Company (RTC) proudly opens its fourth season with Ragtime in Concert written by Terrence McNally, with lyrics by Lynn Ahrens and music by Stephen Flaherty. Ragtime, set in early 20th century New York City, introduces the American experience through three different perspectives: African Americans, represented by Coalhouse Walker Jr., a Harlem musician; upper-class suburbanites, represented by Mother, the matriarch of a white upper-class family in New Rochelle, New York; and Eastern European immigrants, represented by Tateh, a Jewish immigrant from Latvia. Many turn of the 20th century historical figures are featured including Harry Houdini, Evelyn Nesbit, Booker T. Washington, J. P. Morgan, Henry Ford, Stanford White, Harry Kendall Thaw, Admiral Peary, Matthew Henson, and Emma Goldman.

Chicago Dramatists, 1105 W. Chicago Avenue, will present the World Premiere of Bordello, a Susan Smith Blackburn Prize nominee, by Resident Playwright Aline Lathrop. Bordello will preview January 27, open February 4 and 5, and run through March 6, 2011. Northlight Theatre Literary Manager and Chicago Dramatists Associate Artist Meghan Beals McCarthy will direct.
