A FUNNY THING HAPPENED ON THE WAY TO THE FORUM Opens Soon At Cincinnati Shakespeare Company
Cincinnati Shakespeare Company may be celebrating its 25th anniversary, but it is still breaking new ground as a company! In its second year at The Otto M. Budig Theater in Over-the-Rhine, Cincinnati's home for the classics is turning to a new genre of classics: the classic musical. A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, September 7-29, 2018 with a book by Burt Shevelove and Larry Gelbart and music and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim, will be directed by CSC's Producing Artistic Director Brian Isaac Phillips and features longtime ensemble member Matthew Lewis Johnson in the principal role. The production is generously sponsored by Fifth Third Bank and Construction Process Solutions Limited.
Cast List and More Announced for A MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM, Opening 9/8!
The Otto M. Budig Theater, the new custom-built home of the Cincinnati Shakespeare Company in Over-the-Rhine, opens on September 8 with A Midsummer Night's Dream. The production runs through September 30 and is directed by Producing Artistic Director Brian Isaac Phillips. The cast features longtime resident ensemble members Matthew Lewis Johnson as Bottom, Giles Davies as Oberon, Associate Artist Miranda McGee as Titania, and Associate Artistic Director Sara Clark as Puck. The production is sponsored by Bartlett & Co, LLC. The season is funded by ArtsWave and the season sponsors are The Otto M. Budig Family Foundation and the Ohio Arts Council.

Cincinnati Shakespeare Company concludes its season with the premiere of the much anticipated, and now critically acclaimed, production of "One Man, Two Guvnors" by Richard Bean based on "The Servant of Two Masters" by Carlo Goldoni with songs by Grant Olding. This show has sold out several performances so meet the increasing audience demand CSC has added performances on Saturdays June 20 and 27 at 2pm.
