Bust A Move With the Good NewsAltar Boyz is one of the craziest, funniest things I have seen lately. A tongue-in-cheek satire not of God or organized religion per se, but of a particular type of hyperactive, relentlessly upbeat Christian entertainment that is pure, irresistible showbiz. The title is the name of a fictitious Christian boy-band on the last night of their national 'Raise the Praise' tour: Matthew (Cameron Conners), Mark (Michael Detmer), Luke (Tony Smith), Juan (Remy Sisk), and Abraham (Alfie Jones), who's Jewish and sports a yarmulke adorned with a glitzy star.
Pianist Kariné Poghosyan to Tour California
Armenian-American pianist Karine Poghosyan kicks off her spring California tour on Thursday, April 12th at 7pm with a solo recital showcasing the music of Aram Khachaturian at the Brand Library and Art Center in Glendale. Ms. Poghosyan, one of the world's foremost interpreters of Khachaturian's music, will be performing selections from her critically acclaimed debut release, Khachaturian Original Piano Works and Ballet Transcriptions on the Naxos Grand Piano label, featuring many of the composer's rarely heard and relatively neglected works for piano.

Boise Contemporary Theater continues its record-breaking, best-selling 22nd season with the upcoming world premiere of the 2017 BCT River Prize Winner, Cat Crowley's House of Tomorrow. The brand-new play is in the final stages of development, with playwright Cat Crowley in town to add the final touches to the script during rehearsals with the cast.
id Theater Returns to McCall with 17th Seven Devils Playwrights Conference
Now celebrating its 20th year, id Theater returns to McCall, Idaho with the Seven Devils Playwrights Conference, with events from June 8 to 17 at McCall's Alpine Playhouse. This will be the 17th year for the Conference, which will host nine playwrights from all corners of the United States whose work will be developed and presented to the public free of charge during the Conference.
BCT Launches Indiegogo Campaign in Support of New Musical

BCT Announces New Managing Director, Gabe Gloden
Boise Contemporary Theater is thrilled to announce today that, after a national search, the theater company has hired a new Managing Director. Gabe Gloden will begin his new position as BCT Managing Director on December 7, 2015.
