Pentabus has revealed its cast for Seen, a new production from Pentabus Young Writers, including Matthew Bulgo, recently seen alongside Michael Sheen in Nye at the National Theatre, Wales Millenium Centre, and at cinemas as part of National Theatre Live.

Full Cast Announced for the National Theatre's NYE, Starring Michael Sheen

The National Theatre and Wales Millenium Centre have announced the full cast for Nye as the company begins rehearsals. Tim Price's (Teh Internet is Serious Business) new play directed by Rufus Norris (Small Island), charts the life of Aneurin 'Nye' Bevan and his battle to create the NHS. Michael Sheen is cast as Nye in this co-production between the National Theatre and Wales Millennium Centre.

National Theatre Wales (NTW) presents Jon Tregenna's brand new musical Hail Cremation! a psychedelic fusion of live music, dance and video celebrating the extraordinary life of Victorian Welsh radical Dr William Price, regarded as the pioneer of modern cremation and a passionate Welshman. Hail Cremation! is directed by Adele Thomas (The Knight of the Burning Pestle (Shakespeare's Globe), Berenice (Royal Opera House/International)) and will star Matthew Bulgo, Gruffudd Glyn, Lee Mengo and Seren Vickers, with dancers Iestyn Arwel, Ella Biddlecombe, Elan Elidyr and Kyle Flaherty. The musicians are Stephen Black (of Sweet Baboo), Tom Cottle, Aidan Thorne and Paul Jones. Hail Cremation! runs at Newbridge Memo in South Wales from 23 March to 4 April and opens the NTW 10th anniversary year, led by new Artistic Director Lorne Campbell.

Theatr Clwyd today announces its Writers in Residence and Companies in Residence for 2020, as part of the TYFU|GROW Creative Development Programme. Writers' residencies have been awarded to Hannah Daniel, Katie Elin-Salt, Jennifer Lunn, Wyn Mason, Lisa Parry, and Kristian Phillips. Theatre503 Announces 2020 Programming

Artistic Director Lisa Spirling today announces an entire year of programming for 2020 at the home of new writers, including the news that all four remaining finalists of the 2018 Theatre503 International Playwriting Award will be staged at the venue by November 2020. This follows on from the success of Award winner Out of Sorts by Danusia Samal premiering in October 2019. In February, the search for the best debut and emerging writers in the world will begin again as the 2020 Theatre503 International Playwriting Award opens for submissions.
