The 6th season of New York Theatre Barn's Choreography Lab launches on Monday, April 22nd, 2019 at 7pm at Pearl Studios. Funded in part by a generous gift from the Amber Foundation, The Choreography Lab was created to elevate and expand the use of dance in musical theatre. It is also the only curated choreography platform where choreographers and writers collaborate to develop movement for new musicals during incubation.

"Bridging the Gap" is a four-week course, taught by acclaimed cabaret performer Ari Axelrod and music directed by David Aaron Brown. The class focuses on educating the next generation of musical theatre performers by bridging the gap between musical theatre and the art of cabaret.

This production, inspired by the televised holiday specials of the 1960s, features Broadway stars Kyle Dean Massey (TV's 'Nashville', Pippin, Next to Normal, Wicked), Bryonha Marie Parham (Prince of Broadway, Porgy and Bess, After Midnight), Dorcas Leung (current Gigi in Miss Saigon), and dancers from many other Broadway shows.

The producers of Dirty Dancing - The Classic Story On Stage announced casting today for the third year of the North American Tour, which coincides with the film's 30th anniversary. Christopher Tierney, having originally performed the role of Johnny Castle during the 2015 Toronto engagement, returned to the show during its most recent North American tour and will once again thrill audiences alongside the fast-rising young star Bronwyn Reed as Frances 'Baby' Houseman. Dirty Dancing - The Classic Story On Stage is coming to the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts of Miami-Dade County beginning November 29 through December 4, 2016. BroadwayWorld.com can confirm Internet chatter that during the Muny run of HOLIDAY INN, numerous top New York and regional producers descended on the St. Louis venue to check out the show. Sources tell us that next steps have not been decided on for the tuner, but talks are underway for both potential Broadway and regional outings for the show.
