Kansas City Actors Theatre Reveals 2024/2025 20th Anniversary Season
Kansas City Actors Theatre has announced the line-up for its 20th Anniversary season, which will feature one classic work receiving its first professional regional production, a revival of a contemporary classic, the regional premiere of a new adaptation of a classic thriller, and the regional premiere of an award-winning new play.
Review: CONDO-MONIUM at New Theatre & Restaurant
The North American Premiere engagement for CONDO-MONIUM opened last week at Overland Park’s New Theatre & Restaurant with a super cast and direction by Dennis D. Hennessey for an extended run through April 8. CONDO-MONIUM is an updated farce from a very similar British show called FLAT OUT. Both versions are by UK Journalist and Playwright Jennifer Selway.

“You Can’t Stop the Music” as the Village People say and this might have been the mission of the Gay Men’s Chorus of Washington, DC (GMCW) as they sang their hearts out in esteemed composer Andrew Lippa’s original work entitled Unbreakable. This East coast premiere by Mr. Lippa (composer of the musicals The Wild Party, Big Fish, and the oratorio I am Harvey Milk) was originally planned for 2020 but thanks to the “unbreakable” GMCW spirit, this fascinating work by Mr. Lippa was finally presented at the Lincoln Theatre.

Starting January 12, 2022 Kansas City Actors Theatre will present “The Pests” in a new adaptation and translation of Molière's “Les Fâcheux” by Dr. Felicia Londré. “The Pests” is presented as part of “KC MOlière: 400 in 2022,” a multi-year celebration of the seminal French playwright in honor of what would be his 400th birthday on opening night, January 15, 2022.
