Matt Shea is originally from Ohio but now lives in Los Angeles where he originated roles in Ball Yards (Zephyr Theatre), Monkey Business (Self-Realization Fellowship, Hollywood Temple), Greeks 6-Trogans 5 (Whitefire Theatre), and Theatre Movement Bazaar’s The Treatment (The Theatre @ Boston Court). In Chicago, Matt very much enjoyed working at Bailiwick Repertory in such shows as Son of Fire, Pope Joan, and Fairy Tales for which he received a Jeff Nomination. He has been seen on Broadway in Ragtime and Off-Broadway in Abingdon Theatre Company’s productions of Zona, The Ghost Of Greenbriar and The Appearance Of Impropriety. Regionally, Matt has performed in The School For Scandal (National Actors Theatre), She Loves Me (Great Lakes Theatre Festival), The Fantasticks, and The School For Lies (both at Ensemble Theatre Company of Santa Barbara). His TV/Film credits include “Silicon Valley”, “Bold Native”, “Superior Donuts”, “Ray Donovan”, “House Of Lies”, “Lopez”, “The Middle”, “Gamer’s Guide”, “Henry Danger”, “Anger Management”, “Desperation Boulevard”, and “Trailer Park Boys: Out of the Park”.

Playwright Chuck Faerber should be applauded for including the many current day issues that he squeezes into this 90-minute BALL YARDS, a collection of semi-related sketches, some succeeding more than others. This world premiere comedy directed by Richard Kuhlman tackles: anti-Semitism, the Ku Klux Klan, transgender transitioning, marketing spin at its most transparent desperation, drug trafficking, feminism.

Producer Daryl Roth announced today that Anna Chlumsky (My Girl), Julie Halston (Gypsy) and Brooke Shields ('Lipstick Jungle') will join the previously announced Doris Roberts in Nora Ephron and Delia Ephron's smash hit show Love, Loss, and What I Wore beginning April 28 (through May 23). It was also announced today that Love, Loss, and What I Wore alumnae Lucy DeVito and Jayne Houdyshell will return to the show as part of the April cast (March 31 - April 25), which also includes Judy Gold, Melissa Joan Hart and Shirley Knight.

After working for grand couturier Marc Bouwer, Shea traveled to Europe and the Middle East styling exclusively for a client before returning to New York as a publicist at Barlow Hartman now The Hartman Group. Synthesizing his diverse experiences infashion and public relations, Shea now works independently, serving clients in NewYork, Los Angeles, and Boston.
