BWW Review: GREEN DAY'S AMERICAN IDIOT at Town Hall Arts Center
Teen angst is not something to ignore. Often times, it is the only semblance of emotion that youths exhibit in hopes of finding comfort from others and answers from themselves. Just as these emotions are real, so too is the music that exemplifies these feelings. The combination of these ideas leads us to such musical performances as Green Day's American Idiot at Town Hall Arts Center.
A YEAR WITH FROG AND TOAD Returns to the Arvada Center

BWW Review: JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR at Arvada Center
I've spent a couple decades successfully avoiding Jesus Christ Superstar. I generally don't like religion, and Andrew Lloyd Webber isn't my favorite composer. However, after attending the Arvada Center's current production, I'm a bit more of a believer…in the show, at least.
Photo Flash: Cherry Creek Theatre Company presents RED HOT AND COLE
A "swellegant" theatrical party, spanning the life of the great and irrepressible wit, Cole Porter, this two-act revue traces Cole's career from Indiana to the world stages of New York, London, Paris and Venice, through his marriage, his friendships with the greats of his age and the tragic riding accident that crippled him in mid-career, physically, but not artistically.

BWW Review: EVITA Shines at Candlelight Dinner Playhouse
Any show that starts with the death and mourning of the title character, whether it is good or bad, is going to leave an immediate impact. Evita, the enduring musical biography of Eva Peron does just that, with extremely difficult music by musical theatre kingpin Andrew Lloyd Webber and Lyrics by Tim Rice.
BWW Review: INTO THE WOODS at Candlelight Dinner Playhouse
Sondheim. A name which can instill both fear and awe in the mind of any actor. Of the three shows with music and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim and book by James Lapine, Into the Woods has always been the most popular with theatres across the country, and also the most problematic. Many people would say the problem with the show is that it has a punchy first half, followed by a preachy second. This is a problem with Candlelight Dinner Playhouse's current production of Into the Woods, running now through July 10th.
