New York Musical Festival Announces First Ever NYMF Artist Fellowship
The New York Musical Festival (NYMF) has announced the first ever NYMF Artist Fellowship, a two-year program that will be awarded annually to an exceptional artist of note who is changing the landscape of musical theater. The fellowship involves the presentation of a reading or concert in the first year of the fellowship and a full production in the second year.
Franklin Stage Company Announces Leadership Transition and 2017 Summer Season
The Franklin Stage Company, Delaware County's renowned classical summer theater, announces the departure of longtime Executive Artistic Director, Carmela Marner. Ms. Marner, whose parents, Gene and Carole Marner, were among the original founders of FSC in 1997, notified supporters of her decision in a recent letter: 'It has been my great honor to steer FSC and fulfill its dual mission to provide innovative professional theater and to restore and maintain our extraordinary home, Chapel Hall.'
CFA to Open Summer Festival with SILK ROAD STORIES
Columbia Festival of the Arts 2016 Summer themed Festival "Silk Road Stories" runs from June 10 through June 26, including a kick off for the first Columbia Film Festival June 24-25, Koresh Dance Company on June 17th, a Bollywood Dance Spectacular, Mystic India, on June 18, classical pianist Sejoon Park on June 11, and Sundance Film Festival Shorts on Tour, June 12th, among others.

BWW Review: The Gaslight's IF THE SHOE FITS
No matter how hackneyed and corny the script, if you have an experienced ensemble of actors who are adept at physical comedy, who have perfected their timing through years onstage and who are relatively fearless in their approach to a script (any script, most likely), chances are you can deliver a show that audiences will find delightful. That's certainly the case with If The Shoe Fits, the comedy now onstage through February 13 at Gaslight Dinner Theatre, the company in residence at Freed Hardeman University's Renaissance Center in Dickson.
