BIO

Mateo Ferro is a first generation Colombian-American Actor, Singer, and Rapper born in Silver Spring, Maryland. The Montgomery County, Maryland native broke into the scene at 16 when he booked an open-call audition in Washington DC to star in the Grammy Winning Latin Hip-Hop musical In the Heights at The Kennedy Center. Being the only performer with no experience on a Star Studded cast, his performance received critical acclaim, and opened the gates to an impenetrable industry. Following his breakout success, he packed his belongings and moved himself to New York City, alone at 16. In 2018 he made his on screen debut on the Netflix series Manifest. He found continued success on stage, and screen, having acclaimed performances on Broadway, Off-Broadway, Films, and TV by The New York Times, The Hollywood Reporter, and Vulture. In 2021, Ferro began releasing his own music, in English and Spanish proving succuss in both parallels of his career.
