Folger Holiday Shows Return To Live Performances!
Folger Consort, the early music ensemble-in-residence at the Folger Shakespeare Library, will host seven holiday-themed concerts from Friday, December 10, 2021 through Saturday, December 18, 2021. A video-recording of the program will also be made available for purchase for on-demand streaming via the Folger website. Performances will take place in the spacious and atmospheric St. Mark's Church on Capitol Hill, where Folger Consort's last in-person performances took place in March 2020.

Folger Consort, the early music ensemble in residence at the Folger Shakespeare Library, performs twelve concerts of A Christmas Messe: A Banquet of Seasonal English Music, Friday, December 14 through Sunday, December 23, 2018 in the Folger's festively decorated Elizabethan theater. Seasonal English favorites will be heard alongside Latin carols from medieval England, choral works by one of England's greatest Renaissance era composers, William Byrd, and traditional carols such as "The Boar's Head" and others.

San Francisco Early Music Society Announces 2018-19 Season
One of the nation's leading organizations for the advancement of early music, the San Francisco Early Music Society (SFEMS) has announced its 2018-19 season featuring some of the most exciting early music practitioners here and abroad in nine wide-ranging programs. The season runs from October 12 through May 19, with concerts presented in Palo Alto, Berkeley and San Francisco.
Ars Lyrica to Open 2014-15 Season with FLYING HIGH, 9/7
Grammy nominated Ars Lyrica Houston has announced its 2014/15 season opener: Flying High on September 7th at 6 pm at the Hobby Center's Zilkha Hall. This program soars and lifts the spirit, with music ranging from nimble Baroque dances to a memorable setting of the legend Icarus, who flew too close to the sun. French and Italian Baroque chamber works animate this program, featuring French-Italian soprano Celine Ricci and viola da gambist Mary Springfels in G. F. Handel's evocative Tra le fiamme.
Berkeley Festival Announces Early Music Program, 6/1-8
The San Francisco Early Music Society, in association with Early Music America, has announced the program for its biennial Berkeley Festival & Exhibition, June 1 - 8, 2014. Since its inauguration in 1990, the Festival has been recognized worldwide as one of the foremost events of its kind, bringing together early music performers, scholars, instrument makers, publishers and enthusiasts for a week of concerts, lectures, conferences and master classes centered in and around First Congregational Church and St. Mark's Episcopal Church in Berkeley.
