OPHELIA, the official selection at the 2016 Revelation Perth International Film Festival, has been selected as Best of Fest at this year's LA Shorts Fest and will screen as part of the official selection at the prestigious Oscar qualifying festival starting September 1.
Cherry Lane Theatre to Host Benefit Featuring Israel Horovitz's OUT OF THE MOUTHS OF BABES Starring Estelle Parsons and Judith Ivey
On Thursday, June 16 at 7PM, Cherry Lane Theatre will host Soiree Fantastique!, a special benefit evening that will include a performance of the world premiere of Israel Horovitz's Out of the Mouths of Babes, starring Oscar winner and five-time Tony nominee Estelle Parsons and two-time Tony winner Judith Ivey, along with Angelina Fiordellisi (Zorba on Broadway opposite Anthony Quinn) and Francesca Choy-Kee (Disgraced). The performance at the Cherry Lane Theatre (38 Commerce Street) will be followed by a post-show discussion with the cast moderated by best-selling novelist Adriana Trigiani; a fete with French cuisine, wines, and music and an exclusive photo opportunity with the cast. Tonight, the Suzi Bass Awards, Inc. revealed nominations for the 2014-2015 Atlanta professional theatrical season to theatre patrons and industry artists. The Suzi Nomination Party, which rotates venues, was hosted this year by Horizon Theatre. Guest announcers included the ladies of The Weird Sisters Theatre Project: Kelly Criss, Veronika Duerr, Jaclyn Hofmann, Tiffany Porter, and Megan Rose. National Geographic Channel (@NatGeoChannel) today announced that up-and-coming actor Will Rothhaar (@Poetiqrothhaar) has been cast as the volatile former Marine and assassin Lee Harvey Oswald in the upcoming two-hour original factual drama Killing Kennedy by Scott Free Productions. Rothhaar is the final of the four major players in the film to be announced, joining Rob Lowe (John F. Kennedy), Ginnifer Goodwin (Jacqueline Kennedy) and Michelle Trachtenberg (Marina Oswald).
Neil Patrick Harris Joins New York Philharmonic for COMPANY Concert, 4/7-4/9
The New York Philharmonic will present Stephen Sondheim's groundbreaking Company, with an all-star cast led by Neil Patrick Harris, star of the hit television series, How I Met Your Mother, on April 7-9, 2011. The award-winning musical will be produced and directed by Lonny Price, who directed and co-produced last season's SONDHEIM: The Birthday Concert!, and will be conducted by Sondheim specialist Paul Gemignani, with the original orchestrations for a 35-piece orchestra by Jonathan Tunick. More details will be announced at a later date.

The New York Philharmonic will present SONDHEIM: The Birthday Concert on March 15 and Tuesday, March 16, 2010, at 7:30 p.m. This celebration of the 80th birthday of the great Broadway and film composer/lyricist will include his most enduring orchestral music and songs - performed, in some cases, by the stars of the original Broadway cast productions - in addition to rarely-heard material. Joining the celebration will be (in alphabetical order) Michael Cerveris, Victoria Clark, Jason Danieley, Nathan Gunn, George Hearn, Patti LuPone, Marin Mazzie, Audra McDonald, Donna Murphy, Mandy Patinkin, Bernadette Peters, and others to be announced, including surprise guests. Paul Gemignani, Mr. Sondheim's longtime collaborator, will conduct the New York Philharmonic; Lonny Price is the director; and Mr. Price and Matt Cowart are the producers.
