Kennedy Center Announces American College Theater National Festival
The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts hosts more than 120 outstanding theater students from colleges and universities across the nation as part of the Kennedy Center American College Theater Festival (KCACTF), which runs April 9-14, 2018 in multiple locations throughout the Center. The Center also announced the national awardees for the KCACTF.
Pittsburgh Cultural Trust to Present Autism-Friendly Performance of Disney's THE LION KING, 9/21
The Pittsburgh Cultural Trust will serve as the third city in the country to present an autism-friendly performance of Disney's THE LION KING, tailored to the needs of adults and children on the autism spectrum. The special performance is scheduled for Saturday, September 21, 2013 at 2:00 pm., at the Benedum Center, 237 Seventh Street, Pittsburgh, PA 15222. NDNU Theatre to Present the 24th Annual 'Gift -A CHRISTMAS CAROL: THE MUSICAL' 12/4 - 12/13
NDNU Theatre is proud to present the 24th annual production of The Gift: A Christmas Carol the Musical, based on the story by Charles Dickens and featuring an exciting musical score written by Alan Menken, with lyrics by Lynn Ahrens, and book by Mike Ockrent and Lynn Ahrens. The latest installment of this community gem will once again be directed by Michael B Elkins, NDNU'S Chair of the Department of Theater and Dance. The Gift: A Christmas Carol the Musical will play a special limited engagement from December 4 - 13 with an official opening night of December 4 @ 7:00 PM.
'Incredibly Innovative Innovators Of Pitts.' Runs Thru 5/15
The Incredibly Innovative Innovators of Pittsburgh, a Pittsburgh CLO Gallery of Heroes production, kicked off its spring tour January 12, 2009, at Peabody High School. Originally developed to coincide with the Pittsburgh 250 celebration, this educational and entertaining production was extended for an additional tour by popular demand. The show is traveling to local schools, teaching students about the men, women and innovations from Pittsburgh that have helped to change the world during the last 250 years. The spring tour will run through May 15 at schools in Allegheny, Beaver, Butler, Green, Indiana, Washington and Westmoreland Counties in Pennsylvania and in Weirton, West Virginia. The production is presented in partnership with the Senator John Heinz History Center.
