Mercer County Community College's Kelsey Theatre to Present 12 ANGRY MEN
The life of a young man hangs in the balance and rests in the hands of 12 jurors in a seemingly open-and-shut case. However, can they set aside personal prejudices and preconceptions in the name of justice? That is the question for '12 Angry Men,' presented by Forté Dramatic Productions Jan. 17-26 at Mercer County Community College's (MCCC) Kelsey Theatre.
Showtime Documentary Films Releases First-Look Trailer For XY CHELSEA
Today, SHOWTIME released a first-look trailer for XY CHELSEA, which will have its world premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival on Wednesday, May 1. Directed by Tim Travers Hawkins, produced by Pulse Films and executive produced by Academy Award® winner Laura Poitras (RISK, Citizenfour), XY CHELSEA tells the historic story of whistle-blower Chelsea Manning, whose 35-year sentence in a maximum security prison was commuted by President Obama in 2017. Shot over two years and featuring exclusive interviews and behind-the-scenes verité with Manning, the film begins on the momentous day in May of that year when she leaves prison and follows her through her journey of discovery, while also examining her place in the conversation on national security and the fight of the transgender community for rights and visibility. XY CHELSEA will premiere on SHOWTIME on Friday, June 7 at 9 p.m. ET/PT. Manning was arrested again in March of this year and remains in custody after refusing to testify in front of a grand jury investigating WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange, who was arrested in London on Thursday. SHOWTIME will premiere the feature documentary XY CHELSEA on Friday, June 7 at 9 p.m. ET/PT. Sid Richardson Museum to Celebrate Chisholm Trail's 150th Anniversary
The Sid Richardson Museum will join the three-state (Texas, Oklahoma and Kansas) 2017 celebration of the 150th anniversary of the Chisholm Trail. 'Hide & Horn on the Chisholm Trail' will run from Friday, January 6, 2017, through Sunday, May 28, 2017. Visitors will view rarely seen items from the cattle trail era, 'Guests of Honor' on loan from the Rees-Jones Collection of Dallas, another private collection and the Sid Richardson Museum. This focus exhibition will be on display concurrently with the museum's ongoing exhibition, 'Legacy,' which depicts the clash of cultures of the 19th century American West.
Mary Griggs Burke's Japanese and Korean Masterpieces Donated to the Met and MIA
The Metropolitan Museum of Art and Minneapolis Institute of Arts (MIA) announced jointly today that they are both recipients of transformative bequests of masterworks of Japanese art from the Mary Griggs Burke Collection. With objects spanning more than five millennia, the collection is widely regarded as the finest and most encompassing private collection of Japanese art outside Japan.

Tom Murphy Panel Discussions Added to Lincoln Center Festival Program 7/11
