Review: THE SECRET GARDEN at Players On High At The Carlisle Theatre
Overall, this production of The Secret Garden, directed by Ashley Shade Byerts, is a lovely retelling of the classic tale. As Byerts states in the Note from the Director, this show marks the most ambitious and challenging production the Carlisle Theatre has undertaken. This reviewer certainly looks forward to their future endeavors.

THE FOLK SINGER, a new musical about contemporary times, opens on Sunday, October 9th at Theater for the New City (155 First Avenue at 10th Street). Created by the team behind the critically acclaimed 2015 production of Heather Smiley for President, the musical has a book and lyrics by Tom Attea, with music composed by Arthur Abrams. Opera Australia Artistic Director Lyndon Terracini and leading Australian theatre producer John Frost today announced the principal cast for Rodgers and Hammerstein's classic Broadway musical The King and I. Lisa McCune and Teddy Tahu Rhodes will co-star in the Tony Award-winning Australian production, which is being revived next year by the Gordon Frost Organisation and Opera Australia.
