BIO

Martin Vidnovic is a Tony-nominated actor with a career spanning over four decades. Born in Chicago in 1948, Vidnovic grew up in a musical family and began performing at a young age. After studying at the Goodman School of Drama and Northwestern University, he made his Broadway debut in the ensemble of the original production of "Hello, Dolly!" in 1967.


Vidnovic went on to appear in numerous Broadway productions, including "Brigadoon," "Oklahoma!," "Baby," "The King and I," and "A Grand Night for Singing." He received his first Tony nomination in 1985 for his performance as Nicky Arnstein in the revival of "Funny Girl," starring Barbra Streisand.
In addition to his work on Broadway, Vidnovic has also had a successful career in regional theater. He has appeared in productions at the Paper Mill Playhouse, the Goodspeed Opera House, and the Kennedy Center, among others.
Vidnovic is also a prolific concert performer, having appeared in numerous concerts and cabaret shows throughout his career. He has performed with symphony orchestras across the country, and has released several albums of his own.
In addition to his work in theater and music, Vidnovic has also appeared in a number of television shows and films. He had a recurring role on the soap opera "One Life to Live" in the 1980s, and has also appeared on "Law & Order," "The Guiding Light," and "The Blacklist," among others. His film credits include "The Producers" and "The First Wives Club."
Vidnovic's most recent work includes a 2018 production of "The Hunchback of Notre Dame" at the Ogunquit Playhouse in Maine, in which he played the role of Dom Claude Frollo.
