BIO

Martin Tebo is an actor, playwright, and songwriter passionate about creating and developing new work for the stage that breaks the mold of realism. He also has a keen interest in film, television, and voiceover. He most recently performed in Hoosier Shakes' 2019 season as Roderigo in Othello and Amiens in As You Like It.

In his hometown of Portland, Oregon, Martin has professional credits from several theatres throughout the Portland area, including Broadway Rose and Lakewood Theatre Company. He also received two nominations for Outstanding Young Performer by the Portland Area Musical Theatre Awards for his Northwest Children’s Theatre performances of Prince Bobby in an original Gershwin-style version of Cinderella and as the title character in Peter Pan. Other Portland Credits include West Side Story (Baby John), She Loves Me (Arpad), Music Man (Tommy Djilas), and Skippyjon Jones (Skippyjon Jones).

Martin received his BFA in Acting from Ball State University, where he appeared in several productions. Some of his favorite roles were Actor 1/White Man in We Are Proud to Present… and Greg in Bunkerville: a Post-Apocalyptic Musical. Other Ball State credits include Phaedra’s Love (Priest), Giantmaker (Veterinarian), and Pericles: Prince of Tyre (King Simonides).

Oregon Children's Theatre to Present SCHOOLHOUSE ROCK LIVE!

Meet Tom, a nerve-wracked school teacher on the eve of his first day of class. Will his students like him? How can he inspire them? His solution is a collection of songs that are none other than the educational, catchy, and, beloved Schoolhouse Rock classics!
