Fred und Lilli haben Grund zu feiern: Seit genau einem Jahr sind sie glucklich geschieden. Aber irgendwie kommen sie nicht voneinander los. Kein Wunder, wenn man sich jeden Tag sehen und sogar noch gemeinsam auf der Buhne stehen muss. Und zwar in einer Shakespeare-Komodie, die es in sich hat: Der Widerspenstigen Zahmung. Ein englisches Team aus Musical-Spezialisten um Regisseur Martin Duncan inszeniert KISS ME, KATE, eine der beliebtesten musikalischen Komodien aller Zeiten, fur die Oper Dortmund in Kooperation mit dem Theater Bonn neu; in den Hauptrollen sind die Publikumslieblinge Emily Newton und Morgan Moody zu sehen. Full casting is announced for Matthew Bourne's NUTCRACKER!, which returns to Sadler's Wells this Christmas to celebrate the production's 20th Anniversary with a limited seven week run from Tuesday 6 December 2011 - Sunday 22 January 2012, as well as touring extensively throughout the UK (tour schedule attached). New dates are also added, with the tour now playing Dublin Grand Canal Theatre (Tuesday 8 - Saturday 12 May 2012) and Newcastle Theatre Royal (Tuesday 15 - Saturday 19 May 2012). Christmas 2011 marks another special anniversary, as New Adventures returns to Sadler's Wells for a 10th consecutive Christmas Season.

BBC Proms Celebrates Sondheim's Birthday With 'Sondheim At 80,' July 31

The BBC Proms had dedicated its July 31st concert to celebrate Stephen Sondheim's 80th birthday. The concert, entitled 'Sondheim at 80,' will feature selections from some of Sondheim's greatest works including SWEENEY TODD, A LITTLE NIGHT MUSIC, COMPANY, SUNDAY IN THE PARK WITH GEORGE, INTO THE WOODS and PACIFIC OVERTURES.

The BBC Proms, an annual BBC event featuring classical musical will take place at the Royal Albert Hall between July 16 and Sept. 11. BBC Proms are broadcast on BBC Radio 3. This season, Prom number 19 will focus on the work of Broadway composer Stephen Sondheim in honor of his 80th birthday.
