BAAD!Ass Women Festival Runs This Month
The Bronx Academy of Arts & Dance forges forward with the 22nd annual BAAD!ASS WOMEN FESTIVAL, celebrating the empowerment of women through art, culture and performance. The festival kicks off on March 5 with two dynamic choreographers Linda La and Tamara Williams and continues through March 30 with six events of dance, literature, film and performance by strong and poignant women.
92Y Announces Mobile Dance Film Festival 2021

Cathy Weis Projects announces the fall 2019 season of Sundays on Broadway, an intimate series of performances, film screenings, readings, and discussions on Sunday evenings at WeisAcres. The fall season is curated by Cathy Weis and guest curators Emily Climer, Joanna Kotze, Wendy Perron, and Adrienne Truscott. All events begin at 6pm. $10 suggested donation at the door. The 92nd St. Y's Dig Dance will present AILEEN PASSLOFF, Stepping Foward: One Foot (in front of the other), a program of dances by Aileen Passloff, noted choreographer, dancer, director, actor and teacher, along with rarely seen works, reconstructed by Passloff, of James Waring and Remy Charlip, Thursday January 11 at 8 PM and Sunday January 13 at 3 PM.. Passloff will present dances choreographed in the early 1960s, when she was one of the pioneers of the early Judson Church modern dance scene, to new works receiving their world premieres. Pianists Doug Schultz, Michael Scales and Michael Cherry, and guitarist Arturo Martinez, will accompany most of the dances and provide short musical interludes during the performance.

Core Dance, the award-winning contemporary dance organization based in Decatur, GA and Houston, TX, will present EnCORE Dance on Film on Friday, May 25, 2018 from 5:00-10:00p.m. at Core Studios, 139 Sycamore Street, Decatur Square.
