Review: MR. PARKER at Dezart Performs

Death tends to affect those who remain differently. Some take time to grieve, then march boldly forward, while others live in purgatory, their grief so overwhelming they only function within the pain of their loss. Mr. Parker by Michael McKeever is very much about just that - as was Daniel’s Husband, but while Daniel’s Husband left us with tears and broken hearts, Mr. Parker gives us hope for life after loss, as well as a lot of laughs which is a great analgesic when exploring deep emotions.
Previews: MR. PARKER at Dezart Performs

In acclaimed playwright Michael McKeever’s MR. PARKER, an inter-generational relationship leads to a complex web of family soul searching. This “Gay to December” romance finds a widower trying to come to terms with the loss of his longtime spouse while balancing a new potential love interest against the disapproving glares of his overpowering sister-in-law.
Brenda Michaels and Marsha Mercant Pen THE GIFT OF CANCER

Brenda Michaels and Marsha Mercant, co-authors of the recently published book 'The Gift of Cancer: A Miraculous Journey to Healing' (Skyhorse Publishing), announce their new found and developed mission to teach others how to embrace gratitude and heal emotional wounds. The authors created a movement to help others learn how to accept adversity as a gift through their work with Intentional Shift. The inspiration for the work they do through their company Intentional Shift (created with business partner Marla Williams) comes not only from their own experience but from countless others who have shared their difficult journeys with cancer, including TV personality, author and journalist Joan Lunden.
