BIO
Marrick is an Actor Singer-Songwriter currently on the First National Tour of the six time Tony award winning musical Dear Evan Hansen. He plays the Tony Nominated role of Connor Murphy for sold out crowds eight times a week. His First Broadway show was the Five time Tony award winning musical Fun Home in 2015.
As a songwriter Marrick has been a finalist for the Johnny Mercer project for the past two years and has benefited from watching great composers and lyricists like Pasek and Paul, Jeanine Tesori, Duncan Sheik, Lisa Kron, Lauren Pritchard, Pete Mills, and many more.
Marrick spent most of the the summer of 2018 on tour as a guitarist for Lolo. They played the Mile of Music festival in Appleton W.I. and several shows in Jackson, T.N. just outside Nashville. Lolo, an incredible artist in her own right, has also a co-writer on the recent #1 song High Hopes by Panic at the Disco and the recent #1 song on the Alternative charts Pray for the Wicked, also by Panic at the Disco.
A big turning point in Marrick’s Acting and Music career was starring in the first Icelandic musical to ever hit the USA. The indie folk pop score was a perfect fit for the kind of music that Marrick had been writing for years and emboldened Marrick to cut his first E.P.
The Entropy E.P. was an experiment in organic sampling. A lot of the percussive sounds on the record are samples from smacking on the body of a sturdy-elderly D-18 Martin. All of the guitars were tracked for the same said D-18.After being in the studio for the first time Marrick decided to get an education in Audio engineering. He is now certified by Avid through the 210 level.
The Entropy E.P. has now been streamed over 2,500 times and Marrick hopes to build on that following with his new LP bAd Bad Man.
