BIO
Marlowe Holden (she/her/hers) is an actor, writer, and producer. As an actor, she has worked both onstage and on camera collaborating with HERE Arts, Mabou Mines, Ma-Yi Theater, Primary Stages, The Amoralists, The Flea, New Ohio Theatre, Totem Pole Playhouse, The Civilians, and Loading Dock Theatre, among others.
She is a producer with IngénueWitty Films creating short form independent work, including Hat Trick Bitches, a female-centric comedy web series picked up by SeekaTV and winner of the Audience Choice Award at Seattle Webfest; and Alex is Black, an Official Selection of Stareable Fest and HollyWeb Festival.
Marlowe’s writing for the camera has been recognized as an Official Selection of film festivals in Austin, Atlanta, and New York. Most recently she worked behind the camera on upcoming indie feature Sometime Other Than Now starring Kate Walsh and Donal Logue; and in front of the camera starring in the short film The Lady From Long Island City.
An alum of T. Schreiber Studio; BFA in acting from the University of Oklahoma.

This year's festival will be a hybrid of in-person and online film screenings and will present work from independent theatre artists that are defying labels and branching out into digital media and film.

The 2019 NY Indie Theatre Film Festival opens tonight, February 8 at 7pm, with the NY festival premiere of Poor Behavior (2016), written by Theresa Rebeck. Based on her play of the same name, Ms. Rebeck (upcoming spy thriller 355, Broadway's Bernhardt/Hamlet, NBC's 'Smash') makes her film directorial debut with this dark, dysfunctional comedy. Rebeck will participate in a talkback after the screening, moderated by Marc Stuart Weitz, New Ohio Theatre's Producing Director.
