When the soul of post-punk vinyl finds the heart of modern stage, a spiritus mundi is born. The one-acts showcase tribute to The Clash entitled “London Calling” transports the condensed emotions found in song and expands them into a wider human narrative found on stage. Not necessarily reinventing the wheel but taking it down a feckin' fun path.

Navigation Theatre Company Presents THE KINDNESS OF STRANGERS
The newly formed Navigation Theatre Company is kicking off the 2019-20 season dedicated to producing local playwrights with a presentation of Buffalo-based writer Mark Humphrey's 'The Kindness of Strangers'. In association with the Compass Performing Arts Center, this world debut opens on October 24th and runs to November 16th. Showtimes are 8 pm Thursdays and Fridays, 5 pm on Saturdays. Compass Performing Arts Center Announces Fall Lineup
The Compass Performing Arts Center's begins a new era of diverse programming and the building of a forum for local creative-class individuals, musicians and performance groups to present their artistry. Additionally, the Compass Performing Arts Center is opening the Compass Art Gallery for local and region artists to display their works. Located in a historically creative performance space known as the Theatreloft, Compass Performing Arts Center address is 545 Elmwood Avenue, Buffalo NY 14222.
ART Returns To The Loft
In American Repertory Theater of WNY's inaugural season, the company found a perfect theatrical space to operate two of the three shows slated in the 2007-08 season. Working out of the TheaterLoft (545 Elmwood Avenue), home to the acclaimed and diverse Ujima Theatre Company, ART/WNY presented two works WHEN YA COMING BACK, RED RYDER, by Mark Medoff, and Tennessee William's THE ROSE TATTOO (which earned the company's first Artie Nomination for Best Ensemble). These two productions brought notoriety to the upstart company and established ART/WNY's reputation for producing thought-provoking, unknown or rarely done works that tell the American story.
ART/WNY Presents Two Night Staged Reading
As summer decides on whether to stick around or not, American Repertory Theater of WNY will come out of the company's season hiatus with one of the first events of the 2017-18 season. August will feature a two-evening stage reading of Mark Humphrey's AN INQUIRY INTO THE FATE OF THE U.S.S. PEQUOD at the company's 330 Amherst location. The reading will feature Buffalo actor Stan Klimecko and the return on Jack Hunter as he will share his directorial eye with the project. .

American Repertory Theater of WNY will roll out the company's eleventh season with an artistic direction emphasizing three productions by Western New York playwrights, presenting a contemporary comedic adaptation on a dramatic classic bore, and bringing a legendary rock-opera to ART/WNY's stage.

Thursday evening November 19th was a busy night of art openings in Chelsea despite the torrential downpours that bathed Manhattan, but none more significant than the Suzanne LaFleur Exhibition opening reception at the Hollis Taggart Gallery at 521 West 26th Street. Attended wall-to-wall, canvas-to-canvas by lovers of abstract expressionism at its best, LaFleur's meteoric rise among art critics and collectors alike has established her as one of the preeminent artists of her generation in the genre. ART/WNY to Offer Staged Reading of ROOMMATES
In keeping with the company's mission statement of promoting and fostering an environment for regional playwrights, American Rep Theater of WNY will be presenting a one-night only reading of Mark Humphrey's ROOMMATES at ART in the Box, 16 Linwood Avenue, Buffalo NY 14209, 7:30 pm. This event is free to the public with an opportunity to discuss the work with Mr. Humphrey after the reading.
