'The Oedipus Cycle' Begins Previews Oct. 14 at The Pearl Theatre Company

THE PEARL THEATRE COMPANY (Shepard Sobel, Artistic Director; Shira Beckerman, Managing Director) is pleased to announce the inaugural production of its 2008/2009 Silver Anniversary Season, a world premiere translation of Sophocles' The Oedipus Cycle by two time PEN Literary Award finalist Peter Constantine.

Epic Theatre Presents 'A Hard Heart' by Howard Baker

Epic Theatre Ensemble has announced the complete cast for the New York premiere of A Hard Heart, written by Howard Barker and directed by Will Pomerantz. Performances begin on October 30, 2007 at the Clurman Theatre on Theatre Row (410 West 42nd Street) and run through December 2, 2007. Opening night is November 11, 2007 at 6PM.
transFigures Confronts Jerusalam Syndrome, April 6-May 6

transFigures, a new work for Women's Project, conceived and directed by Lear deBessonet, and inspired by the Jerusalem Syndrome (the well-documented psychosis that causes ordinary tourists to channel Biblical figures, create togas out of hotel bed-sheets, and parade through the Holy City as Moses, Mary Magdalene, Jesus, and other religious icons) begins previews April 6th, opens April 16th for a run through May 6th at the Julia Miles Theater,
Dread Awakening to Close Sunday April 23
