Based in the San Francisco Bay Area, AEA candidate Marjorie Rose Taylor, was recently featured as Sally Bowles in the critically acclaimed 2011 6th Street Playhouse production of "Cabaret."
In 2009, Taylor played the role of Hero in the 6th Street Playhouse West Coast premiere of "In the Mood," a Big Band musical adaptation based on William Shakespeare's "Much Ado About Nothing." That performance earned Taylor an award nomination from the San Francisco Bay Area Theatre Critics' Circle for "Principal Female Performance in a Musical."
A graduate of The American Musical and Dramatic Academy in New York City, Taylor is an award-winning stage actress who has appeared in musicals and dramas on San Francisco Bay Area stages from the age of 5.
Critically acclaimed and award-winning roles include Chris in "Dancing at Lughnasa," Flirt Conroy in "The Dark at the Top of the Stairs," Mabel Normand in "Jerry's Girls" and Sister Leo in "Nunsense." Other roles include Little Red Ridinghood in the 6th Street Playhouse production of "Into the Woods" and several roles as a member of the ensemble in Porchlight Theatre Company's production of "Under Milk Wood."
Taylor has also worked as an understudy for several Berkeley Rep productions.
Taylor has appeared in several television commercials and was featured in the regional 2009 to 2011 advertising and promotional campaign for Wine Country travel, sponsored by the Sonoma County Tourism Bureau.
