Marisa Jean Giachetti is a disabled performing artist, singer, actor, dancer, model, wheelchair user, and disability advocate from New Jersey. With experience in projects across NYC, LA, NJ, Washington D.C., and virtually, Marisa is passionate about making theatre and the performing arts more inclusive and accessible.
Marisa recently modeled for Lady Fines Adaptive Fashion during New York Fashion Week. Her theatrical credits include the workshop and staged reading of Through the Sunken Lands (Artemis), a new musical by Tim J. Lord, with music by Avi Amon, and directed by Cara Phipps at The Kennedy Center; Rolling with the Punches (Chris/Jo Lee U/S), a new play by Joel S. Bailey, directed by Ben Rauch in NYC; Fiddler on the Roof (Mirala/Ensemble), directed by Gina Lupi at Algonquin Arts Theatre; and a featured performer in the Feisty Disabled Artists Cabaret at Joe’s Pub, among other meaningful works.
Marisa is dedicated to reshaping narratives surrounding disability in the arts and is committed to creating accessible, interabled spaces where artists can thrive together.
